The Beuerbacher See (also Beuerbacher Erholungssee or Schornbach-Stauweiher ) in the Beuerbach district in Hünstetten is a pond in Hesse . The lake is located in a valley between the districts of Wallrabenstein , Beuerbach and Bechtheim im Taunus . The lake's tributaries are the Schornbach and the Klingelbach . The outflow is via the Schornbach.

Legal status

For the area there are regulatory requirements of the municipality of Hünstetten for the use of the recreational lake and for the protection of the wetland . In 2016, the water law approval was granted by the lower nature conservation authority for the next 15 years and the statutes of the municipality of Hünstetten for the use of the Beuerbach recreational lake were changed with regard to the use under fishing law.

The lake and its surroundings have a diverse flora and fauna , which is documented on the basis of on-site observations.

Birds : The Egyptian goose re- arrives in spring , the buzzard and gray heron roaming around , then the chaffinch and the wagtail , mallard , great tit , blackbird , wood pigeon and marsh tit are represented all year round .

Amphibians : In spring the common toad and agile frog .

Fish : grass carp , as well as perch, carp, trout, pike, pikeperch and eel.

Butterflies : Small fox in spring , then peacock butterfly , in late autumn hop moth .

Hymenoptera : In spring the dark bumblebee , then the field bumblebee and mason bee , then the meadow bumblebee .

Schnabelkerfe : the water strider and the two-toothed thorn bug .

Dragonflies : Great pitch dragonfly , then great king dragonfly .

Two-winged birds : emperor gold fly and beech leaf gall mosquito .

Spiders : Common reed spider and common stretch spider .

Crustaceans : wood lice , then American crayfish .

Snails : Roman snail , then grove banded snail and large leech snail , followed by common amber snail and slug .

Trees and bushes: in winter, the common hazel blossom , in spring the cornel cherry , red dogwood , then the common willow , then the sloe , buckthorn and black cherry , then the norway maple , then beech , field maple , black alder , white willow , common bird cherry , hornbeam and pedunculate oak as well as common ash , mountain ash , common viburnum , eucoat, and common hawthorn , and forest honeysuckle ; hazel again at the end of the growing season.

Herbs and perennials: As early bloomers , the lesser celandine , then the wood anemone , the Gundermann , the dog-violets and daisies , then Kuhblume and Träubelhyazinthe , finally coltsfoot and chickweed . This is followed in spring Purple Dead Nettle , marsh marigold , Cuckoo Flower , White Dead Nettle , Garlic and Red elderberry , then meadow buttercup , Shepherd's purse , sorrel , cress , yellow archangel , Herb , Large chickweed , then Ajuga reptans , Hain-violet and bitter smock and cypress -Wolfsmilch , cow parsley , plantain , forget-me-not and red clover , followed by Yellow Flag Iris , vetch , Pyrenees Cranesbill , meadow Pippau , forest hawkweed , Marguerite , fence Wicke and hogweed , meadow bedstraw , Ragged Robin in early summer, nettle , French rose , field rose , mountain vetch , white clover , stickwort , speedwell , real carnation , followed by valerian , Swedish clover , yarrow , meadow pea , small clover , Rapunzel bellflower , meadow bedstraw , White light carnation , white sweet clover and common sweet clover . In mid-summer are Stachys palustris , Himalayan balsam , thistle , Hogweed, plantain , Epilobium hirsutum , Ragwort , Common mugwort , wig knapweed , Meadowsweet , chickweed, St. John's Wort , Common Wolf Trapp , Mentha arvensis and the protected water lily represented followed by Dost , grass chickweed , bindweed , Genuine toadflax , garden cress and purple loosestrife . Marsh skullcap and round-leaved bellflower follow in early autumn, followed by the white dead nettle at the end of the growing season.

Sweet grasses : timothy grass , annual bluegrass and ball grass , then common oat .

Sour grasses : millet sedge , then panicle sedge .

Rushes : forest rushes .

Cattail plants : Cattails

Horsetail family : Field horsetail

Mosses : Common red-tone moss

Mushrooms : fly agaric

Sea festival

As a rule, a lake festival of the Angelsportverein (ASV) Beuerbach takes place at the Beuerbacher See on the first weekend in August.
