The Protestant Church Beuerbach is a Protestant church in Hünstetten - Beuerbach in the Rheingau-Taunus district . She is St. Consecrated to Catherine .

The building, which stands in an elevated position on the hillside, was built in 1791 on the foundations of several previous chapels, including the "Catharinenkapelle", which was occupied around 1520. It is a typical simple Protestant baroque hall building with onion roof turrets , painted frame structure and high windows with flat arched arches . The church measures 15.50 m in length, 8.70 m in width and 6.86 m in height inside.

Inside you can see a basket arch ceiling over a surrounding wooden cornice . Equipped with three-sided galleries on round supports, the pulpit is centrally located above the altar. The cheeks of the chairs have carved shell motifs. On the front there is a narrow portal risalit with a canopy roof turret and an eight-sided bell tower with a closing onion dome . From the chancel, the view falls on a three-sided, oak wood gallery, which is accessible from the front in the entrance area through two side staircases.

An organ from 1960 stands on the west side above the gallery.

The balusters of the gallery stairs and the six columns under the galleries are painted with marble. The baroque, curved, curved balusters are made from oak and date from the time it was built.

The pulpit consists of an octagonal baroque pulpit with a simple sound cover .

The surrounding cornice made of softwood was built between 1791 and 1793. The cheeks of the church stalls (benches) have also been preserved . The material is oak and also comes from the time it was built.

Catherine Bell

The bell with the inscription "CATHARINA HEIS ICH TIMOTHEUS HARTZ FROM HEIDELBERG GOS M (I) IN THE CHURCH BEURBCHA ANNO 1669" was cast in the bell foundry Hartz in Heidelberg . In 1920 it was sold to Eisighofen for unknown reasons and was considered lost. In 1964 it was rediscovered by accident. After appropriate negotiations, she was brought back to Beuerbach; the Beuerbacher donated a new bell to the community of Eisighofen. In 1971 the bell, which was considered the second oldest bell in Idsteiner Land, was removed from the church and hung freely as a death bell in a small tower in the cemetery .
