Niederems is a district of the municipality of Waldems in the Rheingau-Taunus district in southern Hesse . The hamlet of Reinborn belongs to this district .
geography
The place is located in the eastern Hintertaunus of the Rhine-Taunus Nature Park . The federal highway 275 runs through the village .
history
The place is first mentioned in a document in 1274. The ring wall "Burg" in the northeast suggests an early medieval settlement in the area.
As part of the regional reform in Hesse , the municipality of Niederems was merged by law on August 1, 1972 with five neighboring municipalities from the Untertaunus district and the district of Usingen to form the new municipality of Waldems. As for every district, the main statute established a local district with a local advisory council and local councilor for Niederems .
