history
Eisenbach was ceded to Nassau-Weilnau by the Count of Nassau-Diez in 1234 , giving the place a mayor's court. In 1326 Eisenbach came under the rule of Reinberg - Eichelbach . In 1405 half came to Nassau-Saarbrücken and in 1427 to the Electorate of Trier . In 1618 the other half fell back to Nassau-Diez and in 1648 was divided between the Lords of Hattstein and Metternich. From 1664 to 1754 this part belonged to the barons of Hohenfeld, who were based in Camberg , after which it was the barons of Schütz zu Holzhausen. In 1803 the entire area became part of Nassau-Weilburg , which became part of the Duchy of Nassau in 1806 . Until the 16th century, the parish of St. Petrus was also responsible for the greater Niederselters.
In Worms Cathedral there is an elaborate epitaph of the cathedral dean Franz Carl Friedrich von Hohenfeld (1696–1757), which, according to the grave inscription, identifies him as a co-lord in Eisenbach.
In 1867 the village was assigned to the Prussian province of Hesse-Nassau and the Untertaunuskreis . In 1886 the Limburg district was formed, to which Eisenbach now belonged.
The iron deposits that gave the place its name were mined until the beginning of the 19th century. In addition to agriculture and small vineyards in the Middle Ages, mainly construction trades were represented in Eisenbach in the 19th century.

As part of the regional reform in Hesse , the municipality of Eisenbach was merged on July 1, 1974 with three other previously independent municipalities to form the new municipality "Selters (Taunus)".

Buildings
Catholic parish church of St. Peter
The townscape is shaped by the tower of the Catholic parish church St. Petrus , which was built in the years 1896/98 according to plans by the architect Jakob Fachinger in the neo-Romanesque style. The pastor at the time, Clemens Langenhof, had decisively promoted the construction of the church.
Yard at home
The Hof zu Hausen is in the Eisenbach district. There must have been a farm at the location no later than 1275, which the Gnadenthal Abbey bought from the von Velden family that year. The previous owner is said to have been a knight Hartrad von Merenberg . Further purchases, inheritances and donations followed, which resulted in a large estate. After the Thirty Years' War it was converted into a women's monastery, but soon fell to the Nassau-Diez family, who enfeoffed the bailiff Achatius Freiherr von Hohenfeld, who came from the Austrian nobility and who resided in Camberg. The farm quickly passed into his inheritable property. Around 1770 there were disputes between Orange-Nassau and Kurtrier about the complex. From 1822 it was owned by the Nassau general August von Kruse . Today the farm belongs to the Plettenberg family .
