The district court Bützow was a court of the ordinary jurisdiction of the state Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the district of the regional court Rostock .

The court had its seat in the city of Bützow .

The judicial district included the area of ​​the then Bützow district .

On December 31, 1997, the court was overturned and converted into a branch of the Güstrow District Court . The branch was closed on July 26, 1999.

Until the Bützow district was dissolved, the court was located in a listed building at Schloßplatz 3, which was built in 1850 . A school day care center is housed in the building in the immediate vicinity of Bützow Castle. Until it was lifted, the district court was located at Schloßplatz 7 .

The Rostock Regional Court was superordinate to the Bützow District Court. The competent higher regional court was the higher regional court in Rostock .
