The Rostock Regional Court is a court of the ordinary jurisdiction of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and one of four regional courts in the district of the Rostock Higher Regional Court .

    The regional court of Rostock is located in the courthouse August-Bebel-Strasse 15-20 , in which also the social court Rostock , the Labor Court Rostock , the Landesarbeitsgericht Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as well as some Senate of the Higher Regional Court of Rostock are housed. Until 1989, the Rostock district administration of the GDR Ministry for State Security was housed in the listed buildings . A plaque at the main entrance commemorates the victims of the Stasi and the takeover of the building complex by the citizens' committee on December 4, 1989.

    Due to renovation work, the court was temporarily relocated from April 2010 to January 2016 to another listed building at Neuer Markt 3 .
