.zw is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Zimbabwe . It has existed since November 6, 1991 and is administered by the state regulatory authority for post and telecommunications . The registry is called ZISPA for short .

Registry

For a long time it was unclear which authority is responsible for registering the domain. In September 2011, an organization called Techzim found out that .zw domains can be registered via the so-called Zimbabwe Internet Service Providers Association (ZISPA for short). This association acts as an association of regional Internet providers , other registration offices are not yet known.

Compared to almost all other ccTLDs, computer-aided allocation is not possible; an application must be submitted by fax or letter . An official price list does not exist either, the annual fees range between 15 and 45 US dollars , according to industry experts .
