properties

A .qa domain can be between two and 63 characters long. Since autumn 2011, any natural or legal person worldwide has been able to register a .qa domain; a place of residence or a branch in the emirate is not required. In contrast to other country-specific top-level domains, the registry restricts the trading of .qa domains, their sale is not permitted and can lead to the withdrawal of the address. In 2011, the registry also recognized the arbitration tribunal of the World Intellectual Property Organization , so that disputes about .qa domains can be resolved there. This applies to both .qa and the Arabic variant.
