properties

Officially, any natural or legal person can register a .kz domain without having to reside or have a branch in the country. However, there are reports that the registry would suspend domains if the content available under them was hosted abroad . The measures were criticized by human rights organizations.

In addition to .kz, a variant in Cyrillic (.аз) has existed since 2012 . There are also various second-level domains , such as .com.kz for companies , .net.kz for Internet service providers and .org.kz for non-profit organizations .
