.if

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

.gf is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for French Guiana . It was introduced on July 25, 1996 and is managed by local company Net Plus , headquartered in Cayenne . It belongs to the Association Française pour le Nommage Internet en Coopération , whose responsibility was last extended in July 2012. In addition to .gf, she also manages .fr and the associated endings .bl , .mf , .mq , .pm , .re , .tf , .wf , .ytas well as .gp .

In 2008 and 2011, the registry declared that it wanted to make greater use of the extension's potential. However, no domains can yet be registered for it. Instead, interested parties often fall back on the much more popular ending .fr .
