.pf

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

.pf is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for French Polynesia . It has existed since March 19, 1996 and is administered by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications. Formally it is subordinate to the Governor of the Pacific State.

AFNIC , which also manages .fr , is responsible for the actual operations of the top-level domain . Addresses are only registered on the second level. Initially, only citizens of the country and companies based in French Polynesia had the right to register a .pf address. In the course of the introduction of new generic top-level domains , the award criteria were again liberalized, so that since May 2005 foreigners can now also order a .pf domain.
