.ao is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Angola . It has existed since November 15, 1995 and is administered by the Agostinho Neto University in Luanda .

Domains are only registered below second-level domains . For example, there is .co.ao for commercial companies, .ed.ao for educational institutions , .og.ao for non-profit organizations, and .gv.ao for the country's government. The extension .it.ao (for international ) is reserved exclusively for people and companies whose headquarters are outside Angola .
