.cf is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the Central African Republic . It was introduced on April 24, 1996 and is managed by the local company Societe Centrafricaine de Telecommunications (SOCATEL for short) with headquarters in Bangui . After .cf had not been used for many years, active use began on May 1, 2013 with the so-called sunrise period for brand owners . Any natural or legal person may register a .cf domain without having to show a registered office in the country; Addresses must be between four and 63 characters long.
