.cs

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

.cs was the country-specific top-level domain (ccTLD) for the former Czechoslovakia .

It was introduced around 1990, but only three years later the state dissolved and formed the Czech Republic and Slovakia , to which the new top-level domains .cz and .sk were assigned. However, .cs was already in use and it took years to delete the domain. In 2003 the top-level domain .cs was assigned to the country Serbia and Montenegro after its renaming ( S rbija i C rna Gora Serbian), but it could never use this TLD because Czechoslovak domains were still delegated. The .cs top-level domain no longer exists today.
