.cu is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Cuba . It has existed since June 3, 1992 and is managed by the local company CENIAInternet .

Addresses can be registered on both the second and third level. Only Cuban citizens and Cuban companies have the right to register a .cu address. There were official reports in April 2009 that foreigners could also use the top-level domain, but this information is not certain. There are various second-level domains under .cu, which include the following:

  • .com.cu for companies
  • .edu.cu for educational institutions
  • .gob.cu for Cuban authorities
  • .gov.cu for the Cuban government
  • .inf.cu for general information
  • .net.cu for Internet service providers
