Ernst Dumbbell

Ernst Hantelmann (born October 9, 1806 in Wettmershagen , † December 16, 1890 in Hanover ) was a German lawyer and liberal politician.

Life

Ernst Hantelmann attended high school in Ratzeburg and the Lyceum in Hanover. He studied law at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and worked as a lawyer in Hanover from 1828 to 1852. He was then briefly mayor of Gifhorn and from 1854 to 1875 mayor of Emden .

From 1848 to 1850 and from 1865 to 1866 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates Assembly of the Kingdom of Hanover . From 1867 to 1869 he was a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency of Hanover 1 ( Emden , Norden , Weener ) and the National Liberal Party . In this capacity he also belonged to the customs parliament in 1868 . Hantelmann prematurely resigned his mandate in the winter of 1868/1869.
