The Amtshof Bad Lauchstädt is a listed building complex in the city of Bad Lauchstädt in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is listed as a monument under registration number 094 20657 .

General

The Amtshof is located on Querfurter Straße, opposite the Maria Regina church. The main house, which was built in the 16th century, but changed during the Baroque period , is located directly on Querfurter Straße . The building originally had a defensive character on the side of the pond, as the gate to the old town of Bad Lauchstadt was located here. Until 1815 it was the seat of the respective bailiff of the Lauchstädt office and at the same time Fronveste . After 1815 the Prussian regional and city court had its seat here.

When the building was renovated, the defensive character disappeared, four bat dormers were replaced by five drag dormers . A memorial plaque was attached to the facade, explaining the former use of the building. One of the oldest prison buildings in the area has been preserved in the courtyard. The building complex is also part of another farm buildings .
