The Grande Prêmio Brasil Caixa de Atletismo is an athletics event in Brazil .

history

The event was first held in 1985 at the Estádio Ícaro de Castro Melo in São Paulo , where it was held for the next ten years. In 1996 the venue changed for the first time, one went to Rio de Janeiro to the Estádio Célio de Barros ; the meeting stayed here until 2001. The following year the location changed again, this time to the renovated Estádio Olímpico do Pará in Belém , where the event took place until 2009. Then, from 2010 to 2012, he returned to Rio de Janeiro, this time to the Olympic Stadium , before Belém was the venue again for the next two years. In 2015 the meeting did not take place for the first time. In 2016 and 2017 the Arena Caixa Atletismo in São Bernardo do Campo served as the venue and since 2018 the meeting has been held in the National Training Center in Bragança Paulista .

It has been part of the World Challenge series since 2010 .
