Ana Cláudia Lemos Silva (born November 6, 1988 in Jaguaretama ) is a Brazilian sprinter .

Athletic career

In 2006 Ana Cláudia Silva first took part in a major international event, the South American Youth Championships in Buenos Aires . There she was eliminated over 100 meters in the lead and took sixth place over 200 meters. In 2007 she won the bronze medal over 200 meters at the Junior South American Championships in São Paulo . At the Pan American Junior Championships she was eliminated over 200 meters in the preliminary run and won the silver medal with the Brazilian relay. In 2008 she won the 200 meter run at the U23 South American Championships in Lima and won the silver medal over 100 meters. At the Ibero-American Championships in Iquique , Chile , she won the silver medal with the relay.

In 2010 she won the South American Games in Medellín over 100 m and with the Brazilian relay and she also won the silver medal with the 4-by-400-meter relay . She also won the Ibero-American Championships in San Fernando with the relay and over 100 meters. In 2011 she managed a double victory over 100 m and 200 m at the South American Championships in Buenos Aires ; She also won silver with the Brazilian team in the 4 x 100 meter relay . At the World Championships in Daegu , she reached the semifinals over 100 m and 200 m and came in eighth place in the 4 x 100 meter relay. At the end of the season, she won the Pan American Games in Guadalajara , was fourth in the 100 m and won gold with the Brazilian relay. In addition, she won the military games in Rio de Janeiro over 200 meters and won a silver medal over 100 meters. This year she also set a new South American record with 22.48 seconds, which has existed to this day (2017).

In 2016 she tested positive for Oxandrolone during a doping control and was banned until the beginning of 2017. In 2017 she won the silver medal over 100 meters and gold with the Brazilian relay at the South American Championships in Luque . With this season, the Brazilian team finished seventh in the final at the World Championships in London .
