Beatriz Kretschmer
Beatriz Kretschmer ( Beatriz "Betty" Kretschmer Ries de Buccicardi; born January 24, 1928 ) is a former Chilean sprinter and long jumper .
Athletic career
At the Athletics South American Championships in Santiago in 1943 she won silver over 100 m and 200 m , in 1945 in Montevideo she won over 100 m and took bronze over 200 m.
In 1948 she was eliminated from the Olympic Games in London over 100 m, 200 m and in the 4 x 100 meter relay in the preliminary run.
At the Pan American Games she won the long jump in Buenos Aires in 1951 , won silver in the Chilean 4 x 100 meter relay and was fourth in the 200 m; In 1955 in Mexico City , she won bronze in the Chilean 4 x 100 meter relay.
In 1956 in Santiago she was South American champion over 200 m and won silver over 100 m.
