South American Athletics Championships 1945

The XIV. South American Athletics Championships took place from April 15 to April 22, 1945 in Montevideo . The most successful athlete was the Brazilian sprinter José de Assis with five wins, three of them in individual competitions. The most successful participant was the Argentinean Noëmi Simonetto with three wins and two second places.

Men's competitions

The men's team championship was won by the Brazilian team with 108 points, followed by the Argentines with 92 points and the Chilean team with 57 points. Uruguay scored 38 points, Bolivia no point.
