Pedro Listur

Pedro Listur , full name Pedro María Listur González , (born April 6, 1922 in Trinidad , † September 5, 2004 in Montevideo ) was a Uruguayan athlete .

Career

Listur was active in the high jump and triple jump disciplines. At the South American Athletics Championships in Montevideo in 1945 , he won bronze in the high jump. He was a member of the Uruguayan squad at the 1948 Olympic Games in London . There he took 21st place in the qualification of the high jump competition . At that time he was an athlete for Club Atlético Atenas .

In addition, he won the silver medal in the high jump and the bronze medal in the triple jump at the unofficial South American Championships in 1948. At the tournament two years later he was third in the high jump. He also took part with the Uruguayan team in the 1951 Pan American Games in Buenos Aires .

After his active career, he also belonged to the Uruguayan team at the 1983 Pan American Games in Caracas as a delegate in the field of athletics .
