Delfo Cabrera

Delfo Cabrera Gómez (born April 2, 1919 in Armstrong , Santa Fe Province , Argentina , † August 2, 1981 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine long-distance runner .

He won the gold medal in the marathon at the 1948 London Olympics . In 1952 in Helsinki he was sixth in the same discipline.

In 1981 he died of the consequences of a car accident.
