South American Athletics Championships 1941

The XII. The South American Athletics Championships took place in Buenos Aires from April 26 to May 4, 1941 and thus lasted over a week for the first time. The most successful athlete was the Argentine long-distance runner Raúl Ibarra with three individual and one team wins; The Argentine sprinter Lelia Spuhr also achieved four victories .

Men's competitions

The men's team championship was won by Brazil with 103 points, followed by the Chileans with 85 points and the Argentines with 84 points. The Peruvian team got 17 points and Uruguay got 8 points.
