Raúl Inostroza

Raúl Inostroza ( Raúl Inostroza Donoso; born September 10, 1921 ) is a former Chilean middle and long distance runner .

At the South American Athletics Championships in Buenos Aires in 1941 , he won silver in cross-country and bronze over 5000 m . In 1943 in Santiago he won over 5000 m as well as in cross-country and contributed to the victory of the Chilean team with the fastest time in the team race over 3000 m . In 1945 in Montevideo he won silver in the 5000 m and bronze in the 3000-meter team race, with the second fastest time in the individual classification. In 1947 in Rio de Janeiro he wins the 5000 m again. He won silver over 3000 m and bronze over 1500 m . 1949 in Lima followed gold over 3000 m and silver over 5000 m.

At the Pan American Games in Buenos Aires in 1951 , he was fifth over 5000 m.

In 1952 he won the 5000 m at the South American Championships in Buenos Aires and won silver over 10,000 m with his personal best of 31: 26.9 min. At the Olympic Games in Helsinki he came over 10,000 m on the 23rd place; he didn't finish in the marathon .

In 1948 he won the Corrida Internacional de São Silvestre .
