Lúcio de Castro
Lúcio de Castro ( Lúcio Almeida Prado de Castro; born October 1, 1910 in São Paulo ; † May 20, 2004 ibid.) Was a Brazilian pole vaulter and javelin thrower .
In the pole vault, he was sixth at the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. At the South American Athletics Championships he won silver in Montevideo in 1933 and in Santiago de Chile in 1937 and won in Buenos Aires in 1941 .
At the South American Championships in 1947 he won again in the pole vault and took silver in the javelin throw.
His best performance in the pole vault of 4.12 m he set on August 31, 1941 in São Paulo.
