South American Athletics Championships 1927
The 5th South American Athletics Championships took place from April 14th to 19th in Santiago de Chile . The team championship was won by the Chilean team with 77 points, followed by Argentina with 66 points and the Uruguayans with 1 point. The most successful athlete was the Chilean long-distance runner Manuel Plaza , who again won four titles and, with twelve titles, was still the most successful athlete.
