1935 South American Athletics Championships
The IX. The South American Athletics Championships were held from April 11-14, 1935 in Santiago de Chile . The team from the host country won the team classification with 151 points, ahead of the Brazilian selection with 58 points and the Peruvians with 30 points. Behind them the Argentine athletes got 21 points ahead of the Uruguayans with 18 points. The most successful athlete was the Chilean sprinter José Vicente Salinas , who won three individual decisions, was runner-up once and also won both relays.
