Elizabeth Mueller

Elizabeth Müller ( Elizabeth Clara Müller, married Gonçalves; born June 8, 1926 in São Paulo ; † July 12, 2010 in Abelardo Luz , Santa Catarina ) was a Brazilian high jumper , long jumper , sprinter and shot putter .

Athletic career

At the South American Athletics Championships, she won silver over 200 m in Buenos Aires in 1941 . In 1945 in Montevideo she won the 200 m and the shot put; She won silver in the long jump and bronze in the high jump.

In 1948 she came at the Olympic Games in London in high jump to 17th place and was eliminated over 100 m and in the shot put in the first round. At the South American Championships in Lima in 1949 , she won the high jump and won silver in the shot put.

At the Pan American Games in Buenos Aires in 1951 , she won bronze in the high jump. The following year, she defended her high jump title at the 1952 South American Championships in Buenos Aires.

In 1954 in São Paulo she was the second time South American champion in the shot put and won silver in the high jump. In 1955 she was seventh in the long jump at the Pan American Games in Mexico City , in 1956 she won silver in the high jump and bronze in the shot put at the South American Championships in Santiago .
