Delia Díaz

Delia Díaz , full name Delia E. Díaz , (* 20th century) is a former Uruguayan athlete .

Career

Díaz was active in the high jump and in the running competitions on the sprint courses. At the South American Championships in São Paulo in 1954 , she won gold in the high jump by jumping 1.55 meters and took bronze in the 80-meter hurdles . She was a member of the Uruguayan squad at the 1955 Pan American Games in Mexico City . There she took 5th place in the high jump. She set a new Uruguayan record in this discipline with 1.56 meters .
