José Cunéo (* 1923 ) is a former Uruguayan athlete .

Career

Cunéo was active in the running competitions on the sprint courses and in the decathlon . At the Athletics South American Championships in Buenos Aires in 1941 , he won the bronze medal with the 4 x 400 meter relay of Uruguay. At the South American Championships in 1943 and 1945 he was a member of the Uruguayan 4 x 100 meter relay , which came in 3rd place. His personal best in the decathlon dates from April 22, 1945, when he scored 6049 points in the South American Championship in Montevideo. At the South American Athletics Championships in Montevideo in 1945 , he was a member of the Uruguayan 4 x 100 meter relay, which won the bronze medal.
