Julio Ramírez (athlete)

Julio Ramírez , also known as Júlio Ramírez , (* 1917 ) is a former Uruguayan athlete .

Career

Ramírez was active in the running competitions on the sprint courses. At the South American Athletics Championships in Montevideo in 1945 , he won the gold medal in the 110-meter hurdles ahead of his compatriot Julio Jaime and the Brazilian Hélio Pereira . In this competition he ran on 15./16. April 1945 also the fastest race of his career. He needed 14.7 seconds for the distance.
