Wilson Carneiro

Wilson Gomes Carneiro (born July 3, 1930 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a former Brazilian hurdler .

At the Athletics South American Championships in Lima in 1949 , he won bronze over 110 m hurdles . In 1951 he took at the Pan American Games in Buenos Aires Silver 400m hurdles and finished fifth in the 110m hurdles.

In 1952 he won the South American Athletics Championships in Buenos Aires over 400 m hurdles and won bronze over 110 m hurdles. At the Olympic Games in Helsinki he reached the quarterfinals over 400 m hurdles.

At the South American Athletics Championships in 1954 in São Paulo, he won over 110 m hurdles and took silver over 400 m hurdles. The following year he won bronze over 400 m hurdles at the Pan American Games in Mexico City in 1955 and was sixth in the 110 m hurdles.

In 1958 he won the South American Athletics Championships in Montevideo over 110 m hurdles. In the same discipline he was again sixth at the 1959 Pan American Games in Chicago.
