Tarık Langat Akdağ
Tarık Langat Akdağ (birth name Patrick Kipkirui Langat ; born June 16, 1988 in Nandi , Kenya ) is a Turkish obstacle and long-distance runner of Kenyan origin.
He received Turkish citizenship on June 21, 2011. At the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 2012 , he won silver over 3000 meters obstacle. He was part of the Turkish team for the 2012 Olympic Games . In London he covered the 3000 meter obstacle course in the Olympic final in 8: 27.64 minutes and came in ninth. The athlete who belongs to the Istanbul Enkaspor Sports Club is trained by Carol Santa .
