Amy Gilliam (* 1978 as Amy Rainbow Gilliam ) is a director , producer and camerawoman .

Life

Gilliam was born to the co-founder of the Monty Python theater company , Terry Gilliam , and his wife, Maggie Weston . She received her first jobs in the film industry in 1999 as a camerawoman, but at that time still as a trainee. A year later, in 2000, she produced her first film for Esther Kahn . Although she was hired for the costumes and wardrobe in fear and horror in Las Vegas in 1998 , her name did not appear in the credits. Especially in her role as a producer, she has worked for several internationally known and successful films, such as Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 2004 and Push in 2009 . In some films, she worked with her father, who directed. Amy Gilliam was hired as an assistant director for The Brothers Grimm . Four years later she produced the film The Cabinet of Dr. Parnassus , which was also created under the direction of Terry Gilliam.
