Haus An der Kunst 8 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the urban area south of the Quedlinburger Schlossberg and is listed as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . Immediately to the west is the building at An der Kunst 9 , which is also a listed building .

Architecture and history

The small half-timbered house was created according to an inscription on the building in 1734 and is only five bundles wide . Pyramid beam heads and a profiled threshold are visible as decorations . With the letters MJATZM , the inscription refers to the master carpenter Joachim Trost as a builder.

The vacant building is in need of renovation (as of 2012).
