Ana Torrent Bertrán de Lis (born July 12, 1966 in Madrid ) is a Spanish actress .

Life

Torrent made her acting debut in Víctor Erice's The Spirit of the Beehive when she was seven . She was then awarded the Fotogramas de Plata as the best Spanish film actress . Three years later she played in Carlos Saura's Breeding Raven… . After other Spanish film productions, including Blood & Sand alongside Sharon Stone , she played in the early 1990s in the Italian television series Alone against the Mafia . In 1997 she was nominated for the Goya for her leading role in the thriller Tesis - The Snuff Film . In 2008 she played the role of Catherine of Aragon in the British production The Queen's Sister .
