Anarchist Academy (AA) is a German hip-hop band founded in 1992 , which is best known for its mostly very political and socially critical texts. Together with Too Strong , she shaped the SILO NATION .

Band history

Stephan Bomm alias Bomba / Big B. from Lüdenscheid and Hannes Loh alias LJ first met in March 1992. After their first jams together, they founded Anarchist Academy in the same year. The first tape How To Kill a Racist was called " Slime des Rap" by ZAP Fanzine , which the band lingered on for a long time.

With their album Am Rande des Abgrunds , released on Wolverine Records in 1993 , the band took a stand on the subject of "violence and resistance". Shortly afterwards, Babak Soltani, Deadly T and Bütti joined the group. DJ MoE was hired for a live performance in Mannheim and is now a permanent member of the band.

In response to the Solingen assassination attempt , the band produced Maxi Solingen at the end of 1993 ... Welcome to year IV after reunification . With Anarchophobia , Anarchist Academy recorded their second album in the fall of 1994, in which they warn against heroin and rap against capitalism and the system.

After DJ MoE left the band in autumn 1994, DJ Zonic was accepted into the band. By 1996 the band had completed four tours in Germany with over 250 concerts. The band members have meanwhile also published the music-political fanzine "Anarchist to the Front" (ATTF).

In the summer of 1995, Deadly T released his solo album The Hyenas laugh until they wake the sleeping lion , which is musically and lyrically very close to the Anarchist Academy's style of the time. In 1996 Bütti left the group.

Due to personal differences, Hannes Loh and DJ Zonic left the band in 1998 after their last album together, Rappelkistenkids . Deadly T, Babak and Bomba named the band "Double A" for and produced the album Featuring ... . In 1999, Babak left the band, which then completely disbanded. Since then the musicians have become quieter; In 2003 there was another track together - but without Loh - on the rapression album Rapression by the rapper Chaoze One. Deadly T also appeared on the next releases of Chaoze One ( Koppstoff 2004, Fame 2007). Bütti, Deadly T and Riva (Ex-Bomba) were also active afterwards under the name Anarchist Academy and released the album La Resistance with Microphone Mafia, Chaoze One & Lotta C, Callya and Meditias .

As Kool Savas 2005 in his against Eko Fresh -looking Disstrack The judgment the line, "You're a guy who lies spread like Hannes Loh 'em, published Anarchist Academy for the first time in years in full occupation of a directed directly to Kool Savas Disstrack in Internet that has been downloaded more than 25,000 times via intro.de alone.

In July 2013 the video single Weltweit was released and then the album No World Order . The last tour took place in October 2013.
