Hannes Loh

Hannes Loh (* 1971 ) is a German author and musician . Under the pseudonym LJ , he was one of the co-founders of the German hip-hop group Anarchist Academy .

Life

Loh was active as a musician from 1986 to 1998. In 1992 he founded the political rap group Anarchist Academy together with Big B, with which he released several albums until 1998 and gave concerts all over Europe. From 1995 to 1997 he was co-editor of the hip-hop magazine Anarchist to the Front . He then worked as a freelance journalist for Intro magazine and campaigned against right-wing extremist texts in rap. From the year 2000, Loh published various books that dealt with the history of German hip-hop . The book Fear of a Kanak Planet , published in 2002 together with Murat Güngör, was particularly controversial in the hip-hop scene . Hip hop between world culture and Nazi rap.

Loh later worked as a teacher of German and history at the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium in Pulheim near Cologne.
