Anastasios II of Antioch
Anastasios II of Antioch , also Anastasius († 609 ) was the Rum Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch .
As the successor to Anastasios I , he was Patriarch of Antioch ( Syria ) from 599 . In his writings that have not survived, he fought against the Jews who murdered him in a revolt.
He is venerated as a saint and a martyr . His feast day is December 21st .
