Anastassija Semjonovna Dawydowa ( Russian Анастаси́я Семёновна Давы́дова ; born February 2, 1983 in Moscow ) is a Russian synchronized swimmer and four-time Olympic champion .

She started synchronized swimming at the age of six when her parents took her to a swimming pool. She grew up doing this sport. In 2002 she graduated from Moscow University with a degree in economics .

With her long-term partner Anastassija Jermakowa , she started as a junior in 1998. In 2001 they were able to win their first international medal together: a silver medal in a duet at the World Cup. Two years later in Barcelona they finally became world champions in duets. The Russians were also victorious in the team competition.

Davydova and Yermakova won at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and again in 2008 in Beijing the competition in the duet. With the Russian team they could also win the gold medal. They won seven world championships and are also reigning European and world champions in duets.

Russia has dominated synchronized swimming for some time and has won all Olympic gold medals since Sydney 2000 . Davydowa lives with her team in a training camp outside Moscow. She generally spends eight hours a day in the water.
