Anathalon († allegedly around 62) was, according to legend, an early bishop of Milan . Its historical existence is uncertain.

The (arch) diocese of Milan traces its existence back to the apostle Barnabas , who is said to have been the city's first bishop. He had installed Anathalon, the name of Greek origin, in the 7th year of Emperor Claudius as his successor. Anathalon is said to have exercised this office until the eighth year of the emperor Nero and also to have proselytized in nearby Brescia . He is said to have chosen Gaius as his successor . The saint's feast day is September 25th .
