Anatoly Issajewitsch Kudryavitsky
Anatoli Issajewitsch Kudrjawizki ( Russian Анатолий Исаевич Кудрявицкий , scientific transliteration Anatolij Isaevič Kudrjavickij ; born August 17, 1954 in Moscow ) is a Russian - Irish writer and translator .
life and work
After studying medicine, Kudrjawizki soon turned to literature. He published his first short story in 1989. Since 1990 he has worked as a freelance author and editor of the literary journals Strelets and Inostrannaja Literatura ( foreign literature ). From 1998 to 1999 Anatoly Kudrjawizki was President of the Russian Poets Association under the auspices of UNESCO .
He lived in Mühlheim am Main from 1999 to 2002 , and since then in Dublin in Ireland . Kudrjawizki writes poetry in Russian and English, and prose only in Russian. In his novel and stories, he describes contemporary Russian events from a surrealist and satirical perspective. Since 2007 he has been the editor of Shamrock Haiku magazine. In 2008 he received the "Suruga Baika Prize for Poetry" from the Daichuji Baika Society ( Japan ). In 2012 he received the "Vladimir Devidé Prize for Haiku" from the Asian Conference for Literature and Librarianship / LibrAsia (Japan). His daughter Yulia Kudryavitskaya has published her German translations of his poems.
