Anatoli Isserowitsch Neischtadt ( Russian Анатолий Исерович Нейштадт , English transcription Anatoly Neishtadt ; born July 27, 1950 ) is a Russian mathematician.

Neischtadt received his doctorate from Lomonossow University in 1976 and habilitated there in 1990 (Russian doctorate) and became a professor in 1992. From 1975 to 1987 he was at the Institute of Medical Technology and from 1987 head scientist and from 1990 head of the Laboratory for Nonlinear and Chaotic Dynamics of the Institute for Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences and from 1999 to 2007 professor at Lomonosov University. He has also been a professor at Loughborough University since 2007 (he remains at the Moscow Institute for Space Research).

He was visiting scholar and visiting professor at the Courant Institute, the Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of California, Los Angeles, the University of Chicago, the universities of Barcelona, Milan, Bologna, Padua, Göttingen, Marseille and at the Paris Observatory.

Neischtadt deals with dynamic systems, celestial mechanics, nonlinear vibrations, plasmas, hydrodynamics, perturbation theory, adiabatic invariants and bifurcation theory.

He was editor-in-chief of Nonlinearity from 2005 to 2014 and was editor of Chaos from 1991 .

In 1990 he was invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Kyoto (Averaging and passages through resonances) and in 2004 at the International Congress of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics in Warsaw (Probability phenomena in perturbed dynamical systems).

In 2001 he received the Lyapunov Prize .
