Anatoly Leonidowitsch Adamishin

Anatoly Leonidowitsch Adamischin ( Russian Анатолий Леонидович Адамишин ; born October 11, 1934 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian diplomat, politician and businessman.

Adamischin studied at the Lomonossow University in Moscow and was Soviet Deputy Foreign Minister under Eduard Shevardnadze . From 1990 to 1992 he was the successor to Nikolai Lunkow as the Soviet and Russian ambassador to Italy . From 1994 to 1997 he was the Russian Ambassador to the United Kingdom . In this position he succeeded Boris Pankin . In 1997 and 1998 he held the post of Minister for CIS Affairs.

He is a member of the European Leadership Network .
