Ancus

The ancus (lat.) Is a neume in the notation of Gregorian chant and represents the liquescensored form of the climacus .

In the square notation of the ancus, the last punctum inclinatum or the last punctum is used as a key note . In the manuscripts, the lines at the end of the group neum are shown strongly curved.
