Not so Norudde when building a violin

Anders Norudde (* 1960 ; birth name Anders Stake ) is a Swedish folk musician and violin maker .

After graduating from school, he worked in the Degerfors ironworks . In his spare time he played rock music on his guitar and practiced orienteering . After hearing the group Kebnekaise playing traditional Swedish folk music on the radio, he began to be interested in this genre. He learned violin making in a four-year training course in Leksand and is a member of the "Swedish Violin Makers According to Italian Tradition" (SVIT).

In 1987 he founded the group Hedningarna together with drummer Björn Tollin and violin maker Hållbus Totte Mattsson .

When he got married in 1997, he and his wife adopted the new name Norudde together. He lives in Karlskoga in 2009 with his wife and two children.

He also plays Nyckelharpa , Moraharpa (a simpler variant of Nyckelharpa) and the Swedish bagpipe (Säckpipa).
