The Anderson Glacier is a 46 km long right tributary glacier of the Chitina Glacier in the Elias chain in Yukon ( Canada ) and Alaska ( USA ). He bears the name of Chandler Parsons Anderson (1866-1936), a New York attorney who advised the US government on the border treaties in 1903.
The nutrient area of the Anderson Glacier is between Mount Wood in the east and Mount Craig in the north. The two source glaciers still unite on Canadian territory. The Anderson Glacier then flows 23 km in a south-westerly direction through Alaska and finally joins the Chitina Glacier at an altitude of about 1150 m . The mean width of the Anderson Glacier is 2 km. The catchment area of the glacier covers approximately 770 km². The 3326 m high Mount Anderson rises on the right flank of the glacier. A larger secondary glacier is the Tittmann Glacier from the right.
