Andi Zeisler

Andi Zeisler (* 1972 ) is a co-founder and creative director / editor of Bitch Media , a feminist media - non-profit - companies , which is based in Portland, Oregon has. Zeisler is also an author , media critic and lecturer on the subjects of pop culture and feminism. Andi Zeisler's journalistic work focuses on feminist readings of pop culture and has been published in many places including Mother Jones , the San Francisco Chronicle , Utne Reader , The Women's Review of Books , and Ms. She had a pop culture column in SF Weekly and the East Bay Express , and has contributed to the edited volumes Young Wives' Tales , Secrets and Confidences: The Complicated Truth About Women's Friendships (both Seal Press), and Howl: A Collection of the Best Contemporary Dog Wit (Crown). She is the co-editor of BitchFest: 10 Years of Cultural Criticism from the Pages of Bitch Magazine and a book on feminism and pop culture published by Seal Press: Feminism and Pop Culture . She regularly speaks publicly about feminism and pop culture in university contexts. Bitch Media

Bitch Media is a feminist, non-profit media company. Bitch Media is offered as a print product under Bitch: Feminist Response to Pop Culture , and online at bitchmedia.org; the podcasts Propaganda and Backtalk are also published.
