André Bac

André Bac (born December 14, 1905 in Paris ; † May 31, 1989 ibid) was a French cameraman .

Life

André Bac began his career as a press photographer and came to the cinema during the silent film era. After a few years as a camera assistant and member of the camera crew, he spent most of the time of the occupation of France in World War II underground. After the end of the war he worked as a head cameraman and was able to create less remarkable entertainment films as well as more demanding works by directors such as Marcel Carné or Claude Autant-Lara .
